Jill Biden was sharply dressed for back-to-school season, alongside President Joe Biden.
On Monday, the duo visited a math class of eighth-grade students at Eliot-Hine Middle School in Washington, D.C., during the start of the school year. For the occasion, Jill slipped on a pair of dark green pumps, crafted from smooth suede with sharp triangular toes and closed counters.
Thin stiletto heels totaling between 2 to 3 inches in height completed the pair with a formal finish, similar to its traditional iterations over the years. The style also brought a sharp base to Biden’s equally sharp outfit: a beige Akris midi shirtdress, complete with a button-up collar, short sleeves and a buckled attached belt.
The piece was printed with a multicolored geometric pixel pattern including of red, green, orange and yellow, which Biden elevated with small gold hoop earrings, several layered bracelets and a matching watch.
During Biden’s visit to the middle school, Joe took time to meet students and speak to them on the power of education and his own experience being bullied in school, according to The Washington Post.
For footwear, Jill’s choices are classic and sharp. The first lady regularly wears versatile heels and boots in nude, black and even embellished tones from Manolo Blahnik, Valentino and Stuart Weitzman. Jewel-toned and metallic pointed-toe pumps are also a go-to for her brighter ensembles, from labels including SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker, Prada and Jimmy Choo. In warmer months, she can also be seen in espadrille wedge sandals by Loeffler Randall.
