Jessica Chastain stepped out in a sleek all-black look for her appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” Friday night.
During the show, Chastain spoke about how she always knew she was meant to perform, her caricature at Sardi’s and how Taylor Swift made her a personalized breakup playlist. Later on in the show, Chastain played a game called “Catchphrase” with host Jimmy Fallon and fellow guest Ken Burns.
Going for the classical footwear silhouette, the “Scenes From A Marriage” star sported a pair of black pumps. Chastain’s neutral pumps, hailing from Christian Louboutin, featured striking jet-black high-shine patent leather uppers that transitioned into triangular pointed toes and bright blood-red soles, a design staple of the French brands.
Thin but sturdy 3 to 4 inch stiletto heels rounded out the glossy set, giving Chastain a conservative boost in height. Pointed-toe pumps, no matter the style, are a go-to footwear silhouette for many celebrities, Chastain included. Although they were simple in nature, the black pumps gave the thespian’s ensemble a neutral base to build her outfit on.
Sleek and sophisticated just like her footwear, Chastain was outfitted in a black blazer minidress. The garment was slightly oversized and featured lengthy sheer black rhinestoned sleeves and a coordinating rhinestoned pocket square. The dress was layered overtop sheer black tights.
Chastain’s shoe style is sleek and glamorous. The “Zero Dark Thirty” actress often wears pointed-toe pumps in a range of shades on the red carpet, hailing from brands including Christian Louboutin, Stuart Weitzman and Sergio Rossi. She’s also been seen in metallic-heeled sandals by Charlotte Olympia, Prada and Aquazzura over the years. Off-duty, Chastain’s rotation is decidedly more casual, including New Balance sneakers and low-heeled boots from brands including Chanel.
“Memory” is an upcoming drama-documentary film directed by Michel Franco. The film enlists the talents of Jessica Chastain, Peter Sarsgaard, Elsie Fisher and Josh Charles, among others.
