Jenny McCarthy stepped out in an all-black look, giving a girly skirt a touch of New York City punk in patent leather pointed-toe ankle boots on “Good Day New York” on Feb. 12.
The actor’s rockstar-worthy boots featured a sharp pointed-toe, a slim buckle, an approximately three-inch stiletto heel and a fitted design. She paired the sleek ankle booties with a short-sleeve black dress with an attached taffeta balloon miniskirt. The boots appeared to be Saint Laurent‘s Vendome Patent buckle stiletto ankle booties.
Ankle boots are an extremely versatile go-to shoe that can feature a variety of heel styles. Boots that stop at the ankle can be practical, dressy, casual, minimal, showy and more. Chelsea boots, combat boots and booties are among the popular types of ankle boots, with patent leather being a classic material to give these shapes extra oomph and shine.
Patent leather is leather that has been glazed or polished to withstand water. The name comes from the fact that the process of creating patent leather was recognized by the British patent office in the late 1700s. Commonly used in dress shoes and heels, patent leather today is sometimes coated with polyurethane.
McCarthy often boosts her 5′ 7″ height to new levels in towering platforms and heels. For example, she wore a hot pink pair Valentino’s Discobox platform pumps featuring a teetering 7.1-inch heel to complete a perfectly Barbiecore outfit during season nine of the “Masked Singer.” She is also a fan of heeled boots and booties of various heights.
The “Masked Singer” judge appeared on the “Good Day New York” morning show to promote her vegan beauty line Formless Beauty. The “Masked Singer” Season 13 premieres on Fox at 8 p.m. ET/PT tonight.
