Jennifer Lopez Dons PVC Sheer Heels for Broadway’s ‘Buena Vista Social Club’ With Emme
Jennifer Lopez is back to her love of sheer shoes. This weekend, the multi-hyphenate and her teenage child Emme attended multiple Broadway shows. First up was the history-making “Othello.” Then on Saturday, the pair attended “Buena Vista Social Club.”
While Lopez did high-glam for “Othello,” she went menswear inspired for “Buena Vista,” wearing a tan suit. The relaxed ensemble featured suspender straps and an unbuttoned button-down shirt.
for shoes, Lopez shows a pair of PVC heels, a style she has returned to often over the years. The shoes were from Stuart Weitzman. They feature a low cut vamp on a pointed-toe box. The upper is made of completely clear PVC material, meaning that Lopez’s toes were on display. As the toe box is elongated, the bicolor sole is o display as well. The Shoe also features an ankle strap.

This is not a new style: Lopez wore it almost a year ago in May while she was walking through Paris. At the time, she paired it with wide leg blue denim jeans. The shoe includes a heel of about four inches.
This particular style is not currently being sold as it was first introduced in 2023. In its place, Stuart Weitzman is offering its Glam heel. While the silhouette is identical, it is crystal embellished, featuring crystals up the back and functioning as the ankle strap.
Lopez is a noted fan of a PVC shoe. She started this year off in one, in fact, wearing Gianvito Rossi’s Elle mule to two events during Golden Globe Awards weekend. She hit the Palm Springs International Film Festival as well as the Vanity Fair and Amazon MGM Studios Golden Globes pre-party in that open0toe heel. But she’s been wearing the fabric for years. Back in 2019, when she was filming “Marry Me” she had another pair of open-toe sheer heels. Those were a sandal with a red sole and ankle strap from Femme.
Another prime example was in 2022. At the time she was still seeing Ben Affleck and the pair went on a date for her birthday. Toe celebrate, she wore a fuschia dress and a pair of sheer PVC platform heel.
