Heidi Klum was one of many fashionable stars present at the premiere of “Mufasa: The Lion King” in Los Angeles on Dec. 9.
Styled by Rob Zangardi, Klum delivered an elegant look in Manish Malholtra’s Waterfall Pearl Gown, a halter dress adorned with more than 100,000 pearls and crystals. Both ornaments embellished the base of the dress and dangling pearl tassels created a second layer, establishing a flowing stream of the lustrous oceanic gems.
The gleaming tassels allowed for a captivating sense of movement as they swished about. The dress featured a high neckline while the opposite side was low-cut for a backless effect; also in back, the skirt had a triangular cutout creating a leg-baring look.
Klum’s eye-catching gown was paired with metallic silver shoes, a go-to style for the supermodel. She was seemingly wearing a pair of Jimmy Choo’s Misty 120 Silver Platform Sandal Heels. Featuring a classic heeled sandal silhouette, the shoes included a band across the toes as well as an ankle strap connecting to a heel enclosure. The style was lifted by a modest platform and a towering stiletto heel. The shiny silver tone complemented the ivory hue of the pearls without taking away from the design of the detailed dress. Steve Madden and more brands carry adjacent styles at various price points.
Klum seems to be a fan of silver lately. She previously wore a metallic silver sandal at the Baby2Baby Gala in November, and she wore yet another pair of shiny silver heels — this time a pair with a pointed sole — to attend the EarthShot Prize, also in November.
Telling the origin story of James Earl Jones’ iconic character in “The Lion King,” “Mufasa” features the voice talents of Aaron Pierre, Kelvin Harrison, Jr., Keith David, Seth Rogen, Beyoncé, Donald Glover, Blue Ivy Carter and more stars. The movie is set to be released in theaters on Dec. 20.
