Halle Berry went sheer from head to toe for the premiere of “The Union,” her upcoming Netflix film, on Aug. 12 at Los Angeles’ Egyptian Theatre. The actress opted for black mesh Mary Jane heels which she paired with a transparent fitted floral ensemble.
In “The Union,” Berry shares the screen with Mark Wahlberg, playing his former high school sweetheart who recruits the New Jersey construction worker on board a spy mission.
Going with the color synonymous with espionage, Berry arrived at the Hollywood premiere in a black knee-length dress with long sleeves. A delicate floral design was accented by black satiny trim which contributed a linear geometric pattern to the ensemble. The dress seemed to consist of a bodysuit and a flowing scalloped-edge skirt which left her legs visible.
Berry stayed on theme when it came time to select her footwear. She slipped into a pair of black pointed pumps with a semi-transparent upper and black cap toe, appearing to be a Dolce & Gabbana pair made of mesh and grosgain. Making the shoes more noticeable were two Mary Jane straps across the midsection of the foot, accented with silver buckles and notches. The pumps were entirely enclosed in the back and featured a tall, slender heel.
Sheer pumps seem to be taking over lately, having recently accented the outfits of celebrities like Zoë Saldaña, Camila Cabello and Emma Roberts.
Halle Berry, meanwhile, is known to step out in an array of shoes spanning the footwear spectrum, including patent leather pumps and leopard print sneakers.
“The Union” will be released on Netflix on Aug. 16.
