Hailey Bieber showed off height at the 2025 Met Gala. The model attended the event with friend Kendall Jenner. This year’s Met Gala kicked off the exhibit “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” The red carpet theme was “Tailored For You.”
In line with the theme, Bieber chose a black tailored smoking Jacket from Saint Laurent. The double breasted piece featured strong, sharp shoulders as well as satin lapels. In place of pants she wore semi sheer tights. She also wore a large diamond necklace and diamond drop earrings.
For shoes, Bieber wore a pair of slick mules. As the shoe was a mule, the silhouette lengthened the leg, providing no break from the top of the thigh, where the hem of the blazer was, to the middle of the foot. The uppers were made of a glossy patent leather. In addition, there is a peep toe on the shoe.
The style boasted a substantial platform. It appears the platform is so tall that the stiletto on the back could measure 8 inches. Shoe brands can use platforms to raise the height of a shoe without having to raise the pitch, which can mitigate pain while adding inches.
It appears that Bieber is wearing Pleaser heels. The brand has become renowned for its platform styles. They offer shoes like the Jubilant, a platform mule. Other labels like Giuseppe Zanotti have previously offered super-high platform stiletto mules.
If they are pleasers, Bieber certainly wouldn’t be the first to wear the label to the Met Gala. Kim Kardashian wore a pair of 7-inch Pleaser heels to the event in 2022. Janelle Monae, Doja Cat and Kardashian all wore Pleaser platform shoes.
The 2025 Met Gala is unfolding on May 5, the first Monday in May, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City with the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Celebrity co-chairs include Colman Domingo, Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky and Lewis Hamilton. This year, the philanthropic event raised $71 million for the Costume Institute, a record-breaking number for the Met Gala.
