Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted out in New York today clad in a spring-ready look.
The “Iron Man” star’s footwear, hailing from Thom Browne, was closest in composition to the American designer brand’s heeled Toe Thom John silhouette. The Mary Jane-inspired style featured glossy patent leather uppers in a red, white and navy blue Americana-esque colorway that transitioned into thin straps threaded through adjustable buckle closures and red-capped pointed toes.
Sculptural heels rounded out the set, the curved addition adding 2 to 3 inches to Paltrow’s look. Red, white and blue tags were fixed to the heel of the silhouette, making the style immediately recognizable given striping and American themes are fixtures of Browne’s work. The Toe Thom John shoe in all-black currently retails for $1,531.59 on the brand’s website and also comes in a flat style.

In a preppy fashion that matched her footwear, the “Seven” actress sported a floral look also from Thom Browne. Paltrow was outfitted in a suiting-inspired set seemingly comprised of a maxi-length dress and blazer combo fixed with a blue floral print set atop a contrasting white background. A matching floral tie was fastened to the collar of her dress.
Simplistic gold jewelry rounded out the thespian’s ensemble. Browne is also best known for his preppy garments, often emblazoned with striped detailing, a constant theme found throughout Browne’s work thus far.
Paltrow often opts for whimsical and slick footwear on the red carpet. The “Shakespeare in Love” actress‘ ensembles are frequently paired with neutral, colorful or embellished stiletto sandals or pumps, hailing from luxury brands including Le Silla, Alexandre Birman and Gucci.
She’s also been known to sport-chic boots for formal occasions, like recent styles by Larroude. Off-duty, Paltrow’s footwear is equally wide-ranging, encompassing Alexander McQueen and Hoka One One sneakers, Roger Vivier loafers and Birkenstock sandals.
