Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton dressed up on Wednesday in Nashville for the milestone event “Opry100: A Live Celebration,” commemorating the centennial of the Grand Ole Opry music venue. Shelton was on-hand to host the event, and both he and Stefani paid sartorial homage to country music with shiny pairs of cowboy boots.
Stefani posed for photos in a black long sleeve minidress with netted ruffly layers and alternating sheer mesh sections. The garment strongly resembled the Grace Dress from OW Collection, which retails for $150. She paired the dress with black fishnet tights. Shelton, meanwhile, went the formal-casual route with a blue suit jacket, vest, tie and collared shirt paired with blue jeans, staying true to his country roots.
As one might anticipate for this occasion, both musicians opted for cowboy boots to round out their ensembles. Stefani made her outfit monochrome with a pair of black leather boots featuring a silver pointed toe, a stiletto heel and curvaceous designs. The shoes featured classic elements of a cowboy boot silhouette, like an indented shaft with pull straps that reached to just below the knee. Stefani has worn the fishnet tights and black boots combination in the recent past, stepping out in stiletto Dolce & Gabbana boots in November.
Shelton’s shoes were partially obscured by his jeans, but the lower portion showcased cowboy boot hallmarks like a slightly upturned toe and a block heel. His shoes were a shiny cognac brown and showcased a reptilian embossment.
A bevy of country stars took the stage at the event, with some of those names including Shelton, Reba McEntire, Luke Combs, Post Malone, Ashley McBryde, Aloe Blacc and The McCrary Sisters, among others.
