Gigi Hadid Gets Trendy in Red Adidas Gazelle Sneakers While Out in NYC

Gigi Hadid was seen shopping on Sunday in New York City while wearing a bold pair of Adidas shoes. The model donned a pair of the brand’s Gazelle sneakers in a scarlet and cloud white colorway.

Evident from Hadid’s history of street style looks, the star is a fan of a casual lace-up sneaker. Experimenting with different colors and silhouettes, Hadid has been seen wearing several pairs of Adidas shoes including the brand’s iconized Gazelle, Samba and Original styles.

During Milan Fashion Week in September 2023, Hadid was seen on the streets of Italy in a pair of black and white Adidas Samba sneakers.

The Adidas Gazelle sneakers, originally released in 1979 as an indoor soccer shoe, feature a soft suede upper, durable leather lining and gum rubber outsole with a translucent effect. Additionally, the lace-up shoes are adorned with metallic gold lettering and the brand’s signature three stripes.

Adidas Gazelles: A Rising Trend

After the silhouette’s re-launch in 2016 with a campaign fronted by model Kate Moss, the Gazelle shoe has been seen on numerous celebrities as they attend events, walk red carpets, and are captured by street-style photographers. Influential stars like Jennifer Lawrence and Kendal Jenner, among others, have been seen sporting the popular sneaker in a number of bold colorways.
