Aside from a standout pair of shoes, the best accessory on any red carpet is a smile—and that’s exactly what Eva Longoria‘s son, Santiago Enrique Bastón, gave her at a recent event.
The pair attended the Global Gift Gala at the Four Seasons Hotel George V on Oct. 5 in Paris, France, and while she was styled to perfection in a gorgeous Oscar de la Renta crystal embroidered gown, it was her son’s presence on the carpet that made her shine the most. As the 6-year-old joined his mom on the carpet, the pair shared some laughs in front of the cameras.
Longoria’s Oscar de la Renta‘s strapless gown features a fern motif embroidered across sheer tulle that is embellished with shimmering crystals and sequins. While the tulle of the dress covered most of her shoe, she paired the look with a pair of silver sandals with a single strap across the toes.

Her plus one was also dressed to the nines, and joined his mom on the carpet for some photos. The little one, whom the actress shares with husband José Bastón, arrived in a navy blue suit and a crisp white button down.
He paired his red carpet look with a pair of beige and blue Bonpoint panelled suede sneakers, which feature both laces and a strap across the top. The shoes are available in a similar color on FarFetch for $265.
The mom and son duo were there to attend the Global Gift Foundation’s Global Gift Gala hosted in Paris. The Global Gift Foundation is a humanitarian Non-Profit organization. It was founded in 2013 by the Spanish actress, businesswoman and philanthropist, María Bravo, with the aim of creating a positive impact on the lives of children, women and families, who are in a situation of vulnerability or at risk of social exclusion.
Longoria has been a longtime support of the organization, and is the Honor Ambassador of the Global Gift Foundation and its events. Along with Longoria, other stars like Ricky Martin, Victoria Beckham, Mariah Carey, and more are supporters of the organization.
