Elton John Auctions Versace, Prada and More Luxury Shoes as Part of eBay Partnership Raising Money for Elton John AIDS Foundation
Elton John has partnered with eBay in honor of Pride month to auction items from his own wardrobe, including a plethora of shoes from luxury brands including Versace, Prada, Louis Vuitton and more. 100% of sales will go to the Elton John AIDS Foundation, the non-profit he first established in 1992.
The 10-day Rocket Man Resale, beginning June 27, includes footwear, apparel, accessories, and even a Gucci knitting kit from the superstar’s personal collection. Most items begin at $26.60, a reference to the singer-songwriter’s former address in Atlanta, while a few are at fixed prices. For one day only, customers can visit 51 8th Ave. in New York City to purchase items in-store, from 2-6 p.m. E.T. on June 27.
John’s charitable auction might be of interest to any shoe aficionado, offering a myriad of unique loafers, sneakers, boots and more footwear that reflects his refined and whimsical taste.

First up is a pair of black leather loafers with the American flag on the front from the brand Wannabe by Patrick Cox.

John has a similar personalized pair from Prada, this time made of velvet and available in a rich jewel tone shade of sapphire.
These red boots come from a partnership between Prada and the Italian rubber sole company Vibram.
John is also auctioning several pairs of leather loafers by Gianni Versace.
These brown leather Miu Miu loafers feature an added flair of red detailing.
A fan of Versace, the Rocket Man Resale includes these vibrant cowboy boots by the Italian brand featuring tiger print and embellished straps.
In the realm of dress shoes, the options include a black and white pair by Yohji Yamamoto; a two-toned brown pair with embellishments by Bottega Venetta; and a platform navy pair by Prada, pictured above.
When it comes to more casual or athletic footwear, John is offering a pair of navy blue suede Prada sneakers and a black pair of Miu Miu shoes with thick straps (pictured above), among other options.
Additional stars have looked to their own closets to join in on the Rocket Man Resale. Donatella Versace, for example, is auctioning a pair of tall black platform leather boots with a soaring block heel — by Versace, of course.
In a press release, John discussed the auction and its significance.
