Ellen Pompeo breathes life into monochrome and winter dressing with a joyfully textured all-tan look, complete with sumptuous Christian Louboutin pumps at the “Good American Family” Screening at BAFTA screening in London earlier this week.
The actor paired a shaggy faux fur Prada top with center-pleated wide-leg linen pants and velour pointed-toe pumps. The chic Christian Louboutin Condora Riviera shoes feature a 100mm tapered heels, a slim ankle strap with an open heel design, along with the iconic red bottom. A low-cut vamp makes the shoe a unique, sultry marriage of sandal and pump. The shoe is a spin-off from the Italian designer’s best-selling Condora pump, also comes in black velour.
Pumps are a classic women’s shoe style that have remained a red carpet favorite for their versatility and elegance. Pointed-toe pumps with a slim stiletto are a popular variation of the shoe, and have increased in popularity in recent years, thanks to pointy toes coming back into trend after their heyday in the ’80s and ’90s. You can find pointed-toe pumps from prestigious designers including Manolo Blahnik, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Gianvito Rossi, Balenciaga and Christian Louboutin — the So Kate pumps are a bona-fide red carpet staple.
Pompeo has been donning velour and suede pumps lately to promote her new show, “Good American Family.” On March 17, she celebrated spring in a lavender linen suit and coordinating Manolo Blahnik Capcour Bicolor pumps at “The View.” The next day, she stepped out in another pair of Louboutin velour pumps, this time the Kate Max in black to tape “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” which she also wore two days earlier.
“Good American Family” stars Pompeo alongside Mark Duplass and Imogen Faith Reid, in her acting debut. The Hulu/Disney+ show is based on the story of Natalia Grace, a Ukrainian child with dwarfism adopted by an American family. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) presented the UK premiere screening of the show in London, along with a Q&A from the cast and crew. The series premiered on Hulu on March 19.
