Ellen Pompeo Slips on Velvet Christian Louboutin Pumps for ‘Watch What Happens Live’ Arrival

Ellen Pompeo headed to “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” on Tuesday in New York wearing a pair of sumptuous black velvet Christian Louboutin pumps to round out a chic ensemble. The actress has been making the rounds on talkshows to promote her new Hulu drama series “Good American Family,” which is available on Wednesday.
The “Grey’s Anatomy” actress dressed up in a silky black skirt that fell just past her knees; this was paired with a fitted sheer polka dot top that revealed a black bra. Fitting in with her black aesthetic, she carried a woven baguette purse in one hand. Adding a shock of color to her look was a double-breasted coat in a vivid shade of violet.
Pompeo completed her ensemble with a pair of pumps from Christian Louboutin. She appeared to be wearing the Kate Max style in Velvet d’Or, which retails for $895. Covered in black-gold velour, the style from the label’s popular Kate line features a tapered stiletto heel, a rounded low-cut vamp and a statement-making pointed toe. Louboutin’s signature red sole contrasts the black upper.

Pompeo has worn the Velvet d’Or Kate Max style before — just two days ago she donned the shoes to participate in a SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversation about “Good American Family.” Pompeo also reached for a soft Louboutin style in February 2023 when she wore beige suede pumps at a Michael Kors fashion show.
Pompeo has certainly been busy lately. To appear on “The View” on Monday, she wore a lavender suit from Gabriela Hearst with a pair of purple suede pumps from Manolo Blahnik featuring a brown cap toe and brown heel — another instance of the actress wearing a pump with a soft upper.
