Dua Lipa Laces Up Black Puma Speedcat to Celebrate the Sneaker’s Launch in Milan

Dua Lipa laced up a pair of black Puma Speedcat sneakers for a swanky event in Milan, Italy celebrating the latest launch of the beloved shoe inspired by race car driving. Lipa and Rosé of Blackpink were both tapped to star a campaign for the Speedcat, which recently debuted in Las Vegas.
Lipa arrived at The Mall in Milan in a red Porsche, an entrance that paid homage to the sneaker’s origins. In tribute to the campaign featuring the two pop stars, the event was designed to look like the Nevada desert.
Unsurprisingly, Lipa was decked out in Puma for the occasion, offering a stylish take on sportswear. She exuded an effortless sense of cool in an oversized black racing jacket with thin criss-crossing lines forming a pattern of squares across the garment; “Puma” was emblazoned in large white lettering across the front of the jacket. She wore it unzipped, revealing a corset-style top adorned with safety pins. The “Dance the Night” singer also had on sheer black tights, offering a layer of sophistication to her ensemble.

Creating a cohesive color palette, Lipa opted for the black version of the Speedcat to complement her look. The low-to-the-ground style features a leather and suede upper; a white Formstrip contrasts the black backdrop while gold branding offers glamorous splashes of color to the style. A white Puma cat is also embroidered on the toe. One of Puma’s most iconic products, the shoe was originally designed for race car drivers and later updated and released to the public. It now retails for $100.
Several celebrities have been seen wearing the Speedcat lately. While in attendance at the F1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas in November, Ashley Graham styled a black pair of the sneakers with a sheer top over an animal print bralette. Emily Ratajkowski was at the event in Milan after she stepped out in a variety of Speedcat colors for several outings this year.
