Dua Lipa brought out her “Houdini” skills at the Chanel spring 2025 haute couture show in Paris on Jan. 28, materializing in not one, but two looks from the French brand, both of which were complemented by a pair of minimalist black Chanel heels.
At the Grand Palais, a dramatic, floor-sweeping cape was the star of Lipa’s first ensemble. The large garment featured a quilted texture subtly interspersed with glimmering silver thread. The garment was set off with a large black velvet bow affixed front and center, one of many bows creating a striking motif for her outfit. An oversized bow made a major statement as a hair accessory and smaller ones adorned her top. Lipa’s outfit also included strands of pearls and gold chains draped across her midsection, standing out against her all-black aesthetic.
The cape look was not the only one Lipa delivered on this occasion — she also wore a glimmering black tweed set including a high-neck jacket and a miniskirt. A few things remained from her previous ensemble, notably the statement bow in her hair and her high heels.
Proving the versatility of her footwear, Lipa’s shoes complemented both of her Chanel outfits. They were a minimalist pair of peep-toe sandals featuring a medium-width strap across the toes with an hourglass outline. The shoes were enclosed in the back and included a slender strap with a silver buckle encircling the ankle; a stiletto heel boosted the set. It was a relatively simple style, not drawing too much attention to itself yet still blending with the elegance of Lipa’s looks. The shoes strongly resembled a pair of black Chanel heels worn by Riley Keough in June 2024 when she attended the inaugural Gotham TV Awards.
Additional attendees at the Chanel haute couture show on Jan. 28 included Marion Cotillard, Kylie Jenner, Lily-Rose Depp, Vanessa Paradis, JR and more recognizable names. See photos from the event below.
