Dove Cameron brought classic ’90s grunge to the stage for Hello Sunshine’s first “Shine Away” conference, held by Reese Witherspoon. The occasion, hosted in partnership with AT&T, featured a star-studded series of empowering onstage discussions — as well as a musical performance by Cameron.
For the occasion at Rolling Greens in Los Angeles on Saturday, Cameron sang onstage in a set of black Dr. Martens boots. The “Lethal Woman” musician’s set featured a round-toed silhouette with smooth leather uppers, complete with lace-up fronts in the spirit of the classic combat boot — a signature shoe of the ’90s era.
The pair was finished with the British brand’s signature thick, ridged dark rubber outsoles and tonal yellow welt stitching.
Cameron’s footwear was particularly on-trend for the fall season, given its silhouette and dark tone — both popular during colder months. Combat boots are favored in the autumn months for their utilitarian shape and practical soles, often in neutral tones like black, brown and tan. Similar styles can be seen in a wide range of new collections from various brands, including Coach, Dolce Vita and Thursday Boots.
The “Schmigadoon!” star’s boots also added a rebellious flair to her outfit, which similarly leaned into ’90s soft grunge: a white sleeveless bralette and wide-legged light blue denim jeans. The set was layered beneath a long dark brown leather coat with gleaming brass buttons, adding to its vintage appeal. Cameron finished her look with shimmering rosy bronze eyeshadow — another popular fall trend, seen in new eye palettes from beauty brands including Urban Decay, Charlotte Tilbury and Lancome.
Cameron’s shoe style is dramatic and edgy. On the red carpet, she can be seen in metallic and dark platform boots, sandals and pumps from brands including Le Silla, Giuseppe Zanotti and Stuart Weitzman. Off-duty, the former Disney Channel star regularly wears similarly bold heels and flat sneakers. Cameron is also a new darling of the fashion world, attain shows for brands including Valentino, Giambattista Valli, Michael Kors, Adeam and Tom Ford.
