Doja Cat Shines in Bejeweled Strappy Sandals From Amina Muaddi’s Latest Collection to Perform ‘Diamonds Are Forever’ at the 2025 Oscars

Doja Cat donned an elegant look in strappy sandals while performing a James Bond tribute at the 2025 Oscars in Los Angeles on Sunday.
The slip-on sandals were likely the new Gigi Slippers from Amina Muaddi’s 2/25 collection that dropped last month with a campaign starring Nara Smith. The heels were constructed in a precise rounded-toe style in the upper. Characterized by two silver straps on the upper and mid-foot, respectively, the shoes are made with calfskin and a goat skin lining, and retail for $1,265.
Aside from the embellished straps, no additional embellishments were added to the shoe, which was completed by a very slim stiletto heel measuring between 3-to-4 inches in height. The “Say So” singer’s strappy sandals matched her strappy gown, in-line with what the artist normally chooses for her upscale appearances.

They were also similar to the clear platform pair worn by the songstress for the Monse Maison pre-Met cocktail celebration last summer. Those shoes featured a white footbed and a thick strap along the almond toe. Also including a translucent base, the set boasted a thick stiletto heel that was about six inches tall.
Strappy sandals continue to be a popular choice for celebrities and influencers in 2025 thus far, with brands like Amina Muaddi, Christian Louboutin and Gucci carrying a range of strappy sandals as a part of their footwear lineup. The silhouette first originated in the early 1900s, going through many variations over the years.
Doja Cat wasn’t the only one to choose strappy sandals for the Oscars either. Emma Stone hit the red carpet in a pair of strappy silk sandals that matched her custom plunging, champagne sequined gown by Nicolas Ghesquière. Those shoes featured a skinny toe strap and stiletto heels that appeared to be between 3-to-4 inches in height, which is the range Stone typically chooses for events like these.
The 2025 Oscars, officially known as the 97th Academy Awards, take place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, with Conan O’Brian serving as host for the evening. The ceremony honors movies released in 2024, including “Wicked,” “The Substance,” “The Brutalist, “A Complete Unknown,” “Emilia Perez” and more. Notable nominees for acting categories include Zoe Saldaña, Ariana Grande, Demi Moore, Colman Domingo and more.
