Diddy‘s daughters made a vibrant statement while he accepted his latest award at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.
During the Tuesday night show, the rapper, designer and producer was honored with the ceremony’s Global Icon Award for his international contributions to pop culture. For the occasion at Newark, N.J.’s Prudential Center, Diddy was joined onstage by his twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila Combs, daughter Chance Combs, son King Combs and longtime friend and collaborator Mary J. Blige, making it a memorable hallmark for the 2023 ceremony.
While onstage, the sisters posed together in two wide-ranging outfits. In tandem with their penchant for matching attire, both D’Lila and Jessie Combs wore red lace-up combat boots with knee-high shafts, rounded toes and thick ridged soles. The duo’s utilitarian set matched their father’s all-red outfit — as well as that of their brother, King Combs — too, as they paired the style with the same cutout halter-neck crop top and matching high-waisted pants.
Chance, meanwhile, opted to slip on a long-sleeved minidress covered in shimmering metallic silver and black zebra stripes. The 17-year-old finished her outfit with shimmering bejeweled statement earrings, as well as a sleekly formal shoe choice: heeled sandals with thin soles and a stiletto-tipped base, crafted from glossy black patent leather for a streamlined finish.
The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) celebrate the top music videos and performances in the music industry. This year’s awards show will honor Shakira with the Video Vanguard Award for her musical contributions to pop culture, and feature a range of performances by stars, including Doja Cat, Anitta, Cardi B, Meghan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj and Olivia Rodrigo.
