Demi Moore is still on the campaign trail, promoting her film “The Substance.” The actress and her famous dog Pilaf made a stop on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” to talk about the project while in Los Angeles. The film marks Moore’s first time wining major acting awards.
For her look, Moore and stylist Brad Goreski went with one of Moore’s favorite brands of the moment: Schiaparelli. She wore the designer head to toe including a black duster coat that featured a gold trim made to resemble a measuring tape, as well as a black halter dress and an ornate gold drop earring. She also carried a black Bijou handbag from the brand, decorated with its typical ornate, Surrealist embellishment.
Moore was dripping in Schiaparelli down to her toes. Her shoes were a pair of black leather Schiaparelli mules. The heels sport a gold keyhole embellishment on the toe which is a house code. The vamp is also cut high, affecting the silhouette akin to that of a bootie. The heel is a stiletto heel that tapers.
Schiaparelli does not currently offer this mule for purchase. Nor do they offer anything similar. The two mule heels the company is selling are the open-toe Bijoux mule which features a lowcut vamp, a suede upper and a curving heel as well as the trompe-l’oeil mule which features golden brass toes.
Mules have been enjoying quite a minute in the spotlight. Since Alessandro Michele introduced the Gucci Princetown fur mule in 2015, they’ve been a constant on red carpets and in celebrity style from flats to high-heeled styles. Some celebrities prefer options like the Jimmy Choo Bing mule which features a bejeweled strap across the front of the foot while others reach for the popular Gianvito Rossi open-toe Elle. Done in a sheer PVC, the Elle was one of the standout shoes in celebrity style for 2024.
Moore, Goreski and Daniel Roseberry, who is the creative director of Schiaparelli, have been enjoying quite the run. In June, she wore a full Schiaparelli spring 2024 look with white gilded sneakers to a screening of “Brats” at the Tribeca Film Festival. In October, she went back to the brand for two separate looks at the Savannah College of Art and Design Film Festival. With both looks she put on a pair of Schiaparelli patent leather keyhole pumps.
