Demi Moore stepped out in New York City on Oct. 14 wearing a preppy Thom Browne ensemble rounded out by a pair of black brogues. She was headed to a screening of her latest film “The Substance,” which has generated Oscar buzz for the actress.
Moore leaned into the dark academia aesthetic in a navy blue pleated midi skirt with a black top and cardigan bearing Thom Browne’s signature red, white and blue trim. She accessorized with a black purse and aviator eyeglasses while her sleek, dark hair was worn out. Last but not least, her dog Pilaf, who recently joined her at the Hamptons International Film Festival, was nestled in her arm.
Moore appeared to be wearing Thom Browne’s Black Pebbled Calfskin Mix Longwing Brogue, which retails for $1,020 from the American brand. The shoe features a low block heel and an almond toe in addition to lace-up fastening. Tom Browne’s red, white and blue grosgrain loop tab in the back helps signify the brand. As is the defining feature of a brogue, the shoes are decorated with perforations along the upper, differentiating them from a typical oxford.
Moore is a noted fan of Thom Browne. At the Toronto International Film Festival in September, where “The Substance” screened, she wore a glossy pencil skirt with a button down and tie, completing the suit look with brogue pumps from the company. More recently, Moore wore heels from Christian Louboutin with a denim skirt and boucle jacket at the Hamptons International Film Festival.
