Dakota Johnson Channels ‘It-Girl’ Energy in Teal Adidas Sambas on Set for ‘Materialist’ in New York

Cute and casual, Dakota Johnson was photographed on set for the upcoming romantic comedy “Materialist” in New York on Friday. The film features an all-star cast including the likes of Chris Evans of “Captin America” fame and Pedro Pascal. A release date for the film is not set in stone yet.
While on set, Johnson donned teal Adidas Samba OG sneakers in “Silver Green.” The sporty style consisted of textural suede toes that transitioned into leather uppers embossed with Adidas’ famed three-striped logo detailing on either side in white and a matching teal. Matching teal laces acted as closures while thick rubber soles offered the sneakers a non-slip feel. The “Madame Web” actress wore her Sambas with contrasting long tan socks.
The Adidas’ Samba style has become synonymous with those who have the coveted “it-girl” status. The sneaker style has risen to popularity thanks in part to the aforementioned influential people who wear them, along with the silhouette’s exceeding versatility and comfort. Adidas carries a wide range of Samba styles for reasonable prices, meaning there’s something for everyone.
Accompanying the on-trend style, Johnson sported dark red high-waisted corduroy trousers in a baggy textural style along with a plain cropped white tee. The simple crop top was layered beneath a red knitted long-sleeve draped casually over her shoulders, imparting a preppy look. Rounding out the ensemble, the thespian donned a branded baseball cap and cat-eye sunglasses in black.
Beyond “Materialist,” Johnson’s latest project release was “Madame Web” which debuted in theaters in February of this year.
