Dakota Fanning Does All Gold With Platform Cap-toe Mary Jane Shoes for Chanel’s Fall 2025 Show in Paris
Dakota Fanning watched the latest Chanel show from the front row. The presentation was for the brand’s fall 2025 collection. It was created under the direction of the design studio as incoming creative director Matthieu Blazy will present his first collection in October.
For the event, Fanning wore a gold set. It included a gold gilded top that was cinched at the waist and featured four gold flower embellished pockets. The jacket was paired with gold capri trousers that included buttons on the cuff.
On foot, Fanning wore a pair of Chanel Mary Jane shoes. The shoes, crafted from gold laminated lambskin, featured a rounded black grosgrain cap-toe. The shoes include two ankle straps featuring buckles. The shoe was previously spotted on the runway as part of the Spring 2025 collection.
The buckles on the shoes featured embellishments. In addition, there’s a multi-colored embellished CC logo on the underside of the shoe. The shoe also has a thick platform sole as well as a block heel of almost five inches. The company sells the laminated version in silver for $1,800. There are a variety of non-laminated versions in different colors.
Cap-toe styles are a signature of Chanel. They’ve done quite a number of them in a variety of heights and silhouettes. One of the company’s most notables is the slingback. Sometimes they opt for bicolor varieties like a white upper and a black toe. Others are nude with a black toe.
Other shoes are monochromatic. To do the cap-toe, the brand will opt for varying fabrications. Sometimes this means the toe is laminated while the rest of the upper is matte like in the case of Margaret Qualley at the “Blue Moon” photo call. In rare occasions, the shoes are all the same color and fabrication.
Tyla, in fact, wore black-on-black laminated-on-laminated Chanel cap-toe slingback shoes to the Chanel show in Paris this morning.
