Daisy Edgar-Jones was spotted in New York yesterday on a press tour for her upcoming heart-pounding film “Twister.” Joined on the silver screen with the likes of Glen Powell and Kiernan Shipka, the film is set to release in theaters on July 19.

Edgar-Jones took the Big Apple by storm in a pair of unlikely Gucci loafers. Retailing for $ 1,300, the loafer meets creeper style is only available in men’s sizes, however, the British thespian made them work regardless. The hybrid silhouette was first introduced during Gucci‘s fall 2024 runway show and features the brand’s hallowed horsebit design.

The loafer style features aspects of a traditional creeper with ridged platform-esque soles while staying true to the original almond-shaped loafer Gucci is best known for. The shoes also incorporate ultra-modern silver-toned hardware and monogrammed plaque detailing fixed to the toes. If black isn’t your thing, Gucci also carries the loafer creeper style in a vibrant burgundy hue. Unlike oxfords, loafers are a more casual option given their lack of laces.

Although jet black is seemingly the most popular option, loafers have begun to crop up in a variety of unique styles, including fun animal prints and wild and wacky patterns. Beyond Gucci, many affordable and high-end brands feature the popular silhouette including The Row, Aldo, Clarks, Coach, Dior, Steve Madden and Maison Margiela, among others. Loafers are truly a closet staple.

The “Normal People” actress cozied up in a burgundy leather jacket in a high-shine style layered overtop a cropped white tank top. On the bottom, Edgar-Jones sported trendy black micro shorts in a high-waisted style.

On the accessories front, the thespian toted a red shoulder bag fixed with striking gold chain hardware and framed her features with thin black oval-shaped sunglasses. Mixed metal earrings adorned her lobes, rounding out her look.
