Cynthia Erivo isn’t tired of green yet. The actress and singer has been wearing the color in multiple shades for over a year, initially to help promote the blockbuster “Wicked.” But with the promotional run for “Wicked: For Good” gearing up, she hasn’t let go of it just yet.
On Tuesday, Erivo was spotted in New York City wearing a brown suede coat with green sweat pants and a sweatshirt. She also wore her typical big gold earrings, a gold septum piercing and long, jeweled nails.
For shoes, Erivo went with a style she has quite a bit of practice with: a platform stiletto. For this look, she chose Casadei‘s Flora boot in the color toffee. The shoe is an ankle bootie, meaning they end just above the ankle. In addition, the shoe has a rounded but slightly pointed toe. Made in Italy, the boot has a leather-covered heel that measures 5.5 inches. Of that, 1.5 inches are due to the platform.
Platforms help increase the height of a shoe without increasing the pitch. This can ensure a certain level of stability and comfort. The boot is a pull on style. Casadei is currently selling the Flora boot in toffee for $612. There is also a black version.
Erivo has worn the boot before, in fact. This weekend, she attended Vogue’s Vintage Market. There, she was seen in the boots paired with graphic tights as well as a green sweater. Prior to that, she has been seen in other Cassadei platform boots. In December, she chose a black thigh-high boot from the brand to wear to a Q&A with Jessica Chastain for “Wicked.”
At other times, she has reached for Christian Louboutin when she has been in need of platform shoes. This has included a green suede boot as well as the Cassia Alta, a ballerina-inspired shoe. Check out more moments from Cynthia Erivo’s “Wicked” style, below.
