Colman Domingo had a standout fashion moment as he attended the 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards in Santa Monica, Calif. on Sunday night.
The “Candyman” actor walked the carpet wearing a pair of gold Louboutin boots. The satin silhouette featured a ribbed ankle-high sleeve that cascaded into a pointed toe. The boots were completed with a black rubber sole and a matching block heel that was about 2 inches tall.
Domingo paired the metallic boots with a light blue Valentino button down shirt which he layered with a mustard yellow blazer and matching high-waisted trousers. He added a gold textured trench coat with a royal blue satin lining with a swivel design. The ensemble is a part of the designer’s fall 2023 Haute Couture collection.
The actor completed with a multi-pendant necklace, a watch and an assortment of gold rings.
Domingo is nominated tonight for Best Actor for his work in “Rustin,” which tells the story of Bayard Rustin, an advisor to Martin Luther King Jr., who dedicated his life to racial equality and human rights. The biographical drama film released this past November with Domingo as the lead.
Since the drama film was released, the actor has also been seen on screen in the movie “The Color Purple,” based on the Broadway musical, alongside Fantasia Barrino and Taraji P. Henson.
The “Euphoria” actor frequently wears Louboutin sets to red carpet events. In 2021, Domingo paired another bold ensemble with a pair of the designer’s Cousin Greg black dress shoes that featured a square toe and a patent leather silhouette.
The Critics Choice Awards recognize the greatest film and television achievements of the year. Hosted by comedian Chelsea Handler. Margot Robbie will honor her “Barbie” co-star America Ferrera with the SeeHer Award, while James Mangold will present Harrison Ford with the Career Achievement Award.
