Ciara dressed up in a dramatic ensemble to attend the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala held in Los Angeles on Feb. 1, choosing glossy black platform pumps to complete her outfit. The event, which calls for a “Black Tie, Black Designer” dress code, raised $3 million for Black-owned businesses.
The singer went with a black bodysuit featuring a sweetheart neckline and a sparkling belt; this garment was accented by a sheer skirt and floor-sweeping cape, the latter of which featured a dazzling trim matching her belt. The look also included a satiny turtleneck which matched a shiny stretch of fabric at her waist and a trim along the cape. Her hair was slicked back with a middle part and her accessories included stud earrings.
Ciara’s shoes were a pair of patent leather platform pumps; the shoes featured a pointed toe and a high stiletto heel, making for a classic footwear statement. Adding dainty detailing to the look, slender straps in the back wrapped around the ankle. A myriad of brands carry silhouettes that look like this shoe; Le Silla, for example, offers its Uma Slingback 140 mm style at a price of $929.
Ciara doesn’t shy away from high heels and other statement-making footwear silhouettes. She recently wore a black patent leather version of Christian Louboutin’s buzzy Miss Z pump for an appearance on the “Today” show, proving that the shoes can be danced in. Back in December, she wore a voluminous pair of black shearling boots from Paris Texas. When she’s going for a more casual look, she might lace up a pair of sneakers, like the black Nike Air Max pair she donned in August.
