Charlize Theron Taps Into Surrealism in Schiaparelli Keyhole Heels at Baby2Baby Gala 2024 in Los Angeles

Charlize Theron turned heads on the green carpet at the 2024 Baby2Baby Gala held yesterday in Los Angeles. The South African-American actress was honored during the star-studded event.
Tapping into whimsical dressing, the “Monster” actress donned a pair of Schiaparelli spring 2024 heels in black. Schiaparelli’s playful take on heels featured gold keyhole cut-outs on the toes, accompanied by glossy black patent leather uppers. S-shaped 2 to 3-inch stiletto heels rounded out the set.
The ornate keyhole design taps into the haute couture house’s love of the ever-popular Surrealism movement, an artistic style that utilizes symbols of the subconscious to create works that seem to exist between dreams and reality. The shoe design currently retails for around $2,678.22 via the brand’s website. If patent leather isn’t your thing, Schiaparelli also dropped a holiday-ready velvet style featuring textural uppers.
Dripping in designer, Theron also wore a Schiaparelli gown from the brand’s spring 2025 showing. Pulled straight from the runway, the garment included a denim corset and dramatic cream-colored jersey fabric.

The 2024 Baby2Baby Gala was held on Nov. 9, 2024, in Los Angeles. This year’s event honored Charlize Theron. Baby2Baby aims to raise money to provide basic essentials to mothers in need, aptly addressing the maternal health crisis.
For footwear, Theron usually goes sharp. The “Mad Max” star regularly slips on pointed-toe and slingback pumps by Dior, Christian Louboutin, Gianvito Rossi and more top brands for the red carpet — as well as unexpected choices like studded Givenchy oxfords. When off-duty, Theron regularly wears leather boots, slides and crisp sneakers by Saint Laurent, Prada, Adidas and Isabel Marant.
Her casual rotation also features numerous Birkenstocks; in addition to the classic Arizona style, Theron regularly wears the brand’s collaborative pairs with Rick Owens and Proenza Schouler as well. The actress is a mainstay in the fashion sphere, having been the face of Dior’s J’Adore fragrance since 1999 and starring in campaigns for Breitling.
