Charli XCX made her way to Coachella yesterday, held in Coachella, Calif. The star attended an event titled “The Overcompensating House,” joined by Julia Fox and Troye Sivan.
The “Boys” songstress stepped out in her go-to silhouette, a pair of knee-high black boots. The sharp lace-up style featured what looked to be black glossy leather uppers accompanied by sleek and sturdy lace-up closures, also in black. Sharp, knife-like toes gave way to stiletto heels, a fashionable choice rather than functional, a departure from usual festival wear.
The chosen silhouette is similar to picks from top brands like The Attico, Miista, Versace, Balenciaga, Dior, Saint Laurent, Gucci and Le Silla, among others. Charli is a major fan of booties from Balenciaga, having worn comparable boot silhouettes in black to fashion events and on red carpets. No matter the brand, the shoe was sleek and daring, offering the musician’s look a dressy feel.
Partnered with her all-black footwear, the “360” singer donned a patchwork top in shades of pink and white. The dainty garment featured a rose print and striped detailing accompanied by dainty textural trim. A pink bow fixed to the bodice further offered a feminine touch. On the bottom, Charli sported a low-waisted maxi skirt in brown featuring an asymmetric hemline and button closures.
While her music career thus far is impressive, the “Guess” singer’s footwear and fashion choices are just as memorable. The British star is best known for her edgy and futuristic style. She effortlessly uses bold colors, metallic fabrics and avant-garde silhouettes to complete her outfits. The shoe styles she gravitates towards often nod to ’90s and early 2000s fashion. Charli’s style is daring, rebellious, and influenced by the worlds of punk and pop culture. On the footwear front, the pop star gravitates towards strappy sandals, vibrant heels and Nike sneakers.
