The Grammy-nominated Charli XCX is the picture of autumn cool while in New York City. The musician hit the streets in a look perfect for the weather. Her ensemble included a fur jacket, a simple T-shirt as well as denim shorts. She also carried a black leather shoulder bag.

The singer was wearing the KSUBI denim shorts while in NYC ahead of her “Saturday Night Live” hosting debut this weekend. She paired the Low Rider Short Authentik shorts, priced at $190 with a pair of slouchy boots. In particular, they were a collaboration between Jean Paul Gaultier and Jimmy Choo. The collaboration was first released in late 2023. The pair that she wore in particular is a black over-the-knee boot. In addition, there is a trompe l’oeil pattern printed on the interior to appear as denim.

The shoe includes a 3.5 inch skinny stiletto heel with a rubber injection.

In product shots, the boot is styled as a fold over option. This puts the denim lining on full display to appear like cuffed jeans. It can also be worn as an over-the-knee boot which looks like a typical black leather shoe. Charli XCX, instead, wore it as a slouchy style, cuffing the first few inches of the boot down to reveal the denim interior. That interior appears to match her jorts.

Retailers like SSENSE are selling the boot for $2,295. The Webster has them for $918.

Kylie Minogue fronted the campaign for the collaborative collection which came out in October 2023. It spanned six different designs including boots, a slingback as well as wedge pumps. The soles of all of the shoes include the names of both brands tattooed on them. Trompe l’oeil attributes have been worked into various designs including glass block heels that feature landmark destinations. Jessie J, Julia Fox, Taylor Swift and Cameron Brink have all worn footwear from the collection.

Charli XCX has seven Grammy nominations for the upcoming awards. They include Record of the Year as well as Album of the Year. She’s currently working with stylist Chris Horan.
