Charli XCX Means Business in Knife-Like Knee-High Boots at Balenciaga’s Fall 2024 Couture Show at Paris Fashion Week

Charli XCX took over the front row at Balenciaga’s fall couture 2024 show held during Paris Fashion Week on June 26.
The “Boys” singer graced the fashion show in a pair of jet-black boots in a knee-high style from the Spanish luxury designer’s FW24 collection. Paired with sheer black tights, the musician’s footwear was comprised of knife-like pointed toes, short but sharp 1 to 2-inch stiletto heels, zipper closures up the sides and fitted textural suede uppers that looked as if they were molded to Charli’s calves. Grungy and sophisticated, the singer’s footwear streamlined ensemble, while coordinating with the existing all-black color scheme of the look.
The knife-like boot silhouette is a staple for the designer brand, beloved by many celebrities, Charli included. In fact, similar styles have been spotted on the likes of Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Hailey Bieber and Dua Lipa, among others.

Along with her jet-black booties, Charli was styled in a boxy black maxi dress, also from Balenciaga FW24. The garment featured a collared neckline and mimicked the look of a button-down shirt, sans sleeves. She accessorized with Balenciaga’s Rodeo Small Handbag and Bossy Round AF sunglasses.
The “Von Dutch” songstress recently released her album “Brat” which has been receiving widespread praise. The album features hits like “360,” “Guess” and “B2b.” The renowned hitmaker’s styling choices are a reflection of her artistic vision, constantly evolving and pushing boundaries.
The performer is best known for her edgy and futuristic style. She effortlessly uses bold colors, metallic fabrics and avant-garde silhouettes to complete her outfits. The silhouettes she gravitates towards often nod to ’90s and early 2000s fashion. Charli’s style is daring, rebellious, and influenced by the worlds of punk and pop culture, mirrored in her look during the couture show.
Beyond the British songstress, notable show attendees of the Balenciaga show included Katy Perry, Nicole Kidman, Selma Blair, Michelle Yeoh, Naomi Watts, Teyana Taylor, Ashley Graham, Anna Wintour and Lisa Rinna, among a slew of other fashion-forward stars.
