Celine Dion was invited to announce the fifth overall pick of the Montreal Canadiens during the first round of the 2024 Upper Deck NHL Draft in an event held in Las Vegas on Friday. Dion was joined by NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman and a slew of famed hockey players.

For the sporty occasion, the “My Heart Will Go On” songstress wore a pair of neutral platform pumps. The performer’s footwear featured khaki glossy leather uppers that transitioned into almond-shaped peep-toes, arched soles thick platform soles that acted to elongate Dion’s legs. 3 to 4-inch stiletto heels rounded out the set, further offering the Canadian star a boost. The neutral style complemented the pre-existing color scheme of Dion’s ensemble, creating a cohesive appearance.

Neutral shoes are a favorite of many celebrities, Dion included. Similar pairs to the singer’s own can be purchased from a variety of brands, both high-end and affordable, including Aldo, Stuart Weitzman, Gucci, Gianvito Rossi and Zara, just to name a few.

In a similarly neutral move, Dion was styled in a crisp white button-down tucked neatly into a slightly shiny high-waisted cream maxi skirt that was belted. The skirt featured a delicate print that was barely there, creating an illusive look. Rounding out her look, the performer wore bone-colored jewelry with gilded accents. The neutral silhouette is fitting for the performer, given she gravitates towards those hues often.

When it comes to shoes, Dion is no stranger to a bold heel — no matter the height. The  “A New Day Has Come” singer has previously been spotted in platforms, pointed-toe pumps and boots from top labels like Saint Laurent, Marc Jacobs, Gianvito Rossi and Ralph Lauren for press events and red carpets. On more casual occasions, she often wears sneakers and chunky boots from Gucci, Alexander McQueen and Balenciaga.
