Celine Dion showed off the mesh shoe trend in Paris on July 24. The five-time Grammy winner was seen outside a hotel in the French capital, where she posed alongside fans in a black dress and mesh polka dot heels from Christian Dior.

Dion took on Paris in a classic black dress, a color the city’s fashion is closely associated with. The A-line midi dress featured puffed short sleeves, a raised collar, and buttons down the front. The fabric of the dress gathered in folds to create an almost pleated effect, contributing eye-catching texture to the outfit.

Dion, who is a documented lover of shoes, complemented her black dress with a pair of J’adior mesh slingback pumps. The transparent shoes included a darker-hued cap toe and a subtle polka dot pattern; the inner outline of the vamp featured a black trim, creating a distinctive silhouette for the shoe. Meanwhile, the slingback strap was emblazoned with J’adior several times over; the strap was also tied into a bow on the side of the shoe, adding a dainty ornamental feature. Offering Dion additional height, the narrow heel of the shoe was black.

Dion is not one to limit herself when it comes to footwear. She recently revealed in the Prime Video documentary “I Am: Celine Dion” that she can manipulate her feet to fit into any shoe between the sizes of six and ten. The film explores her life and career, including her experience with the neurological disorder Stiff Person Syndrome. It is speculated that Dion will perform at the Paris Olympics, which would be her first performance since revealing her diagnosis in 2022.

See-through shoes have become a favored shoe among celebrities lately. Camila Cabello, for example, wore a pair of sheer black pumps at the Summer Gala by Gala One in Saint Tropez on July 23, matching them to a long black dress. In June, Emma Roberts paired sheer knee-high socks with transparent stilettos, which also featured a black outline. Back in April, Zendaya wore white transparent flats from Bottega Veneta for a comfortable off-duty look while promoting “Challengers.” Read more about the popular sheer shoe trend here.
