The 2015 Venice Film Festival is in full swing, and major celebrities have arrived (via gondola, of course) to the annual event. Diane Kruger and Elizabeth Banks were both tapped to serve on the festival’s jury.
Arriving in Venice last week, Kruger wore a flowing Thakoon dress with animal-print sandals. For a photo call, she chose a floral printed Preen dress and edgy patent leather Chelsea boots. For the glamorous red carpet, she chose a white beaded Prada gown, which she paired with silver platform sandals.
Banks also chose white for the red carpet, donning a Dolce & Gabbana dress with black Christian Louboutin pumps. Earlier, she wore a pair of fun Stuart Weitzman Wildthing sandals with flower appliqués at the heel.
Model Alessandra Ambrosio is also in attendance. She wore a pair of Christian Louboutin white laser-cut sandals with a wavy heel. Keeping the wavy trend going was Sia, who arrived wearing Prada’s Wavy triple-strap black sandals. Hailee Steinfeld, who was just at the MTV Video Music Awards with Taylor Swift and her crew of best friends, paired her bright yellow mini skirt with Miu Miu’s nude jeweled platform sandals.
This weekend brought a slew of stars to the city, including Johnny Depp, Eddie Redmayne, Alicia Vikander, Kristen Stewart and Dakota Johnson. Stewart and Johnson both donned looks from the runways. Johnson wore a Marc Jacobs resort ’16 gown with black strappy sandals and a pale pink Prada gown with a similar sandal style in silver. She also wore Paul Andrew Stanton platform sandals for a photo call.
Stewart chose a Chanel couture gown with Christian Louboutin metallic silver pumps, which she stored under her seat during the premiere of her film “Equals.” This isn’t the first time Stewart has been spotted barefoot at an event. Last month, she was seen putting her pumps on while walking the red carpet for “American Ultra.”
The festival runs through Sept. 12. Click through the gallery to see more looks from the Venice Film Festival.
