Cate Blanchett Glitters in Gold Dress and Satin Pumps for ‘Rumours’ Red Carpet Premiere at Cannes Film Festival 2024

Cate Blanchett glittered in an embellished gold gown and satin pumps during the red carpet premiere of “Rumors” at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday night.
The actress plays the German chancellor in the film, which also stars Alicia Vikander, and centers around the mishaps that unfold at the annual G7 summit. The seven leaders of the world’s wealthiest liberal democracies get lost in the woods at night while attempting to draft their provisional statement, according to the official Cannes Film Festival website.
Blanchett regularly makes bold fashion choices on the red carpet. The star can often be seen in neutral or metallic pointed-toe pumps with stiletto heels from a wide range of brands, including Christian Louboutin, Casadei, Givenchy and Giuseppe Zanotti. Off-duty, she can also be seen in low-soled and platform sneakers by Gucci, Roger Vivier and Stella McCartney.

The actress is often on the fashion show circuit, and attended the Louis Vuitton Women’s Voyager pre-fall 2024 collection show on April 18 in Shanghai, pairing her black leather boots with a black pantsuit and white jacket.
Last week, Variety reported that Blanchett will star in ‘Alpha Gang,’ an alien invasion comedy that is being shopped at Cannes.
The 2024 Cannes Film Festival runs until May 25 in Cannes, France.
