Camila Mendes was in full bloom while arriving to the 2023 amfAR Gala Venezia.
On Sunday night, Mendes stepped out on the red carpet for the occasion in Venice, Italy during the 2023 Venice Film Festival. The “Do Revenge” actress’ footwear couldn’t be seen beneath her dress’ long train, however — though, given her past red carpet outings over the years and shoes worn by other celebrity guests, Mendes’ shoes likely featured a platform-soled or stiletto-heeled sandal silhouette.
Making the greatest statement was Mendes’ dress: a stark white style with a floor-length hem, covered in a delicate print of small blooming white, purple and pink flowers atop wispy green stems — all overlaid with color-coordinating sequins for allover shimmer. The intricately embroidered garment included a rounded bodice looped through two wide black straps, each accented with dark, gleaming sequins for additional sparkle. A tied bow that elegantly cinched the dress’ keyhole bodice was crafted from the same fabric, as well, creating a streamlined, romantic flair.
Stylist Molly Dickson allowed Mendes’ dress to take center stage, simply pairing it with a set of rose gold-backed diamond teardrop earrings. The formal jewels smoothly complemented the dress’ tonal pink detailing, while their shine further elevated its light-catching sequins for a moment of true glamour. A similar method was also seen when Mendes’ arrived to Giorgio Armani’s “One Night Only” fashion show in Venice on Saturday, as well, dressed by Dickson in a sheer-based black gown with a woven skirt, intricate beading and textured paillettes.

The Venice Film Festival will feature international movies and cinematic shorts debuting for the new season. The 80th annual event is also taking place during the SAG-AFTRA strike, which has current interim agreements to allow U.S. actors to appear at the occasion. Aside from numerous premieres — including “Maestro,” “Priscilla” and “Ferrari” — the week will conclude with its starry amFar Gala, featuring performances by Leona Lewis and Rita Ora.
