Brie Larson Slides On Dainty Strappy Flats to Complement Polka Dot Doên Dress at Filming Italy 2024

Brie Larson wore a black polka dot dress and a delicate pair of flat sandals for a press conference at Filming Italy 2024 on June 20.

The seventh Filming Italy festival takes place in Sardinia from June 20 to June 23 this year, screening international and Italian projects across a range of genres and formats.

Showing off her taste in classic fashion, Larson wore a simple yet elegant black dress with dainty spaghetti straps and a sweetheart neckline. Designed by Doên, the sheer outer layer of the dress was decorated with a pattern of medium-sized polka dots in a shade of off-white. With a classic A-line silhouette, the dress cinched at the waist and fell all the way to her ankles. Leaving her hair out, she accented the outfit with just a pair of silver hoop earrings.

Notably, fellow actress Alexandra Daddario wore the same Doên dress while attending the festival. She differed from Larson in that she accompanied it with a pair of crisp white sneakers.

Forgoing heels, Larson elected to slide on a pair of black flat strappy sandals to match her black dress. Aligning with the ultra-thin straps of her dress, her backless shoes each featured four dainty straps arranged in a geometric pattern. One stretched across the base of the toes, one was across the mid-section of the foot and two crisiscrossed in an X between those horizontal straps.

Larson’s minimalistic flats were a stark contrast to the dramatic sandals she recently wore at the Max Mara 2025 cruise show, which included thick straps and a soaring block heel. Also in June, she wore a pair of black Prada mules which featured a sharp toe and a single strap across the foot. In another Prada moment, she slipped on gray pumps to complement a lavender dress at the 2024 Golden Globes.
