The stars aligned for the world premiere of Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” concert film — and put their best foot forward for the occasion, as well.
On Wednesday night, Swift rallied celebrity friends and associates in Los Angeles for the premiere of the movie, which chronicles her ongoing “The Eras Tou” — and which the musician released one day early, so fans can begin seeing the film on Thursday. During the event, trendy footwear overtook the red carpet; Beyoncé made a surprise appearance in platform-soled boots by Naked Wolfe, while Maren Morris went the slick route in a pair of ankle-wrapped sandals.
However, the moment also called for classic shoes, as well. Marvel star Simu Liu arrived in a pair of smooth brown leather brogues, while “Law & Order” actress Mariska Hargitay stepped out in pointed-toe pumps with short heels. Beyoncé supported Swift during the “Eras Tour” premiere in a slick black catsuit by LaQuan Smith, boosted by chunky Naked Wolfe booties. The thick-soled style could also be seen in a viral video Swift shared on Instagram, where the duo threw popcorn in an empty movie theater.
Simu Liu hit the red carpet in a set of classic lace-up brogues, crafted from deep brown leather for a dapper flair. The style added a formal finish to his look for the occasion: black trousers and a yellow, pink and green-woven knit sweater. For a burst of color, the Marvel actor’s look was paired with a stack of beaded friendship bracelets — a staple accessory exchanged by fans at Swift’s ongoing tour.
Maren Morris opted for a monochrome look at Swift’s premiere, gleaming in a set of patent-textured sandals. The black pair featured an open-toed silhouette with thin wraparound ankle straps, which the musician sleekly matched with a similarly glossy strapless dress.
Mariska Hargitay arrived at the “Eras Tour” in a sharp pair of slingback pumps, featuring matte black uppers with pointed toes and short stiletto heels. The “Law & Order” actress is a longtime part of Swift’s fandom; the musician’s favorite show is “Law & Order,” which led to her naming her cats after the crime drama’s characters — and warranting an appearance by Hargitay in her 2015 “Bad Blood” music video.
