Taking her new honor as this year’s CFDA Style Icon very seriously, Beyoncé stepped out in a head-turning look in New York on Tuesday.
The singer and designer wore a black kimono adorned with patches and a brightly colored striped skirt as she left a hotel with husband Jay Z. She accessorized with a Burberry graphic handbag and a pair of Azzedine Alaïa plum-hued platforms with a fringed ankle strap.
The 5.5-inch heels have a suede upper and back zip closure. If you’re lusting after this pair, unfortunately they’re sold out everywhere, but Alaïa makes a similar pair with double fringe straps that are available on The Outnet, but in very limited sizes.
Meanwhile, Jay Z wore a more casual look: black jeans, a black T-shirt and a pair of black Yeezy Boost 350s.
Beyoncé hits Detroit on Tuesday night as part of her Formation World Tour. On Monday, her entertainment and management company, Parkwood Entertainment, presented the United Way of Genesee County a check for more than $80,000 to support the nearby residents of Flint, Michigan, who have been affected by the area’s severe water crisis.
