Blue Ivy Carter is taking her talents to the big screen. In addition to wowing crowds as a dancer on the Renaissance tour with her mother Beyoncé, the 12-year-old can be heard as the voice of Kiara in the upcoming film “Mufasa,” a prequel/sequel to “The Lion King.” At the Los Angeles premiere for the movie held on Dec. 8, Blue Ivy turned heads in a voluminous gold gown while her mother joined her on the carpet in a matching dress set off by Jimmy Choo heels.

Beyoncé and Blue Ivy — who play mother and daughter on screen as the superstar reprises her role as Nala — embraced a regal aesthetic evocative of their royal characters. The younger of the two wore a custom Christian Siriano metallic gold dress fit for a ball, with a full bell-shaped skirt and a strapless sweetheart neckline. Meanwhile, selecting a look from Balmain’s collaboration with “The Lion King,” Beyoncé wore a fitted strapless dress with a deep rounded cutout at the neckline; the garment was adorned with shiny discs in the same hue as Blue Ivy’s dress. Additionally, Beyoncé’s dress featured a high slit allowing her Jimmy Choo footwear to be seen.

Beyoncé stepped out in Jimmy Choo’s Dahl style, a platform pump with a pointed toe and high heel. The shoe was enclosed in the back while the sides were uncovered, creating a D’Orsay silhouette. Meanwhile, two straps encircled the ankle for a layered look that subtly differentiated the shoe from a typical style.

The shoes matched the background hue of Beyoncé’s dress and brought an additional gleam to her ensemble with their patent finish. Among her 2024 public engagements, the musician and businesswoman turned heads in Versace boots at the iHeartRadio Music Awards and Chloé boots at a “Cowboy Carter” record signing.

Beyoncé took the time to praise her daughter on social media, sharing photos of the young actress from the premiere.

She wrote in her caption, “My gorgeous baby girl. This is your night. You worked hard and you did such a beautiful job as the voice of Kiara. Your family could not be prouder. Keep shining.”
