Bella Thorne brought sleek style to the red carpet for this year’s amfAR Gala Venezia.
Thorne arrived to the Sunday night affair in Venice, Italy — coincidentally overlapping with the Venice Film Festival — with boyfriend Mark Emms, each dressed in black from head to toe. For the occasion, the former “Shake It Up” actress slipped on a pair of glossy black leather sandals with thin soles, topped by four thin straps — with the upper two cinched by gleaming gold buckles.
Thorne’s sleek shoes, which smoothly framed her shimmering purple pedicure, were complete with thin stiletto heels totaling at least 4 inches in height. The set added a slick, formal base to the actress’ vintage John Galliano outfit for the occasion: a sheer black minidress with a strapless silhouette, complete with overlaid silk paneling and a faintly lacy peplum waistline for added romantic flair.
Also bringing romantic flair to the carpet was Emms, who smoothly matched Thorne in his own all-black outfit: a black suit layered over a white collared shirt and black tie, paired with leather Cuban-heeled boots.

Thorne glamorously completed her outfit for the Italian gala with layered silver and diamond rings, as well as similarly bejeweled huggie and drop earrings and a thin black choker. For a final dash of glamour, the actress slipped on a $85,500 white gold version of Cartier’s nail-shaped Juste un Clou bracelet — which was coated in small diamonds, bringing her look a burst of sparkle.
The Venice Film Festival will feature international movies and cinematic shorts debuting for the new season. The 80th annual event is also taking place during the SAG-AFTRA strike, which has current interim agreements to allow U.S. actors to appear at the occasion. Aside from numerous premieres — including “Maestro,” “Priscilla” and “Ferrari” — the week will conclude with its starry amFar Gala, featuring performances by Leona Lewis and Rita Ora.
