Bebe Rexha channeled Madonna while attending the 2023 MTV VMAs held in Newark, N.J., tonight. The hitmaker is up for the Best Collaboration category.
The “I’m Good” songstress stepped into a pair of black platform sandals. Rexha’s footwear was comprised of satin uppers that transitioned into what appeared to be round and open toes that allowed her feet breathing room.
The heeled sandals also featured thick and lofty platform soles along with sturdy 6-inch block heels that gave the hitmaker a rather large boost in height. The heels of Rexha’s shoes tapered out into a pyramid shape, offering the footwear’s silhouette an interesting touch.
Mimicking Madonna’s infamous cone bra from the mind of Jean Paul Gaultier, Rexha was outfitted in a leather floor-length gown from The Uncommonist featuring a spiraling pointy bodice. The striking strappy bodice gave way to a corseted bodice and a form-fitted skirt. The skirt of her dress featured a slit in the back that offered the star a wider range of movement. Circular cutouts were featured on the rear of Rexha’s dress.
When it comes to shoes, Rexha’s rotation is often edgy and glamorous. On the red carpet, the “Baby, I’m Jealous” singer prefers crystal-embellished sandals and sleek boots from brands like Giuseppe Zanotti, Stuart Weitzman and Saint Laurent. When off-duty, she also favors a full-glam moment with trendy styles like Bottega Veneta’s mesh sandals. However, the star also has an affinity for black and printed Nike sneakers — as well as affordable shoes from brands like Dolls Kill and Schuh.
The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) celebrate the top music videos and performances in the music industry. This year’s awards show will honor Shakira with the Video Vanguard Award for her musical contributions to pop culture, and feature a range of performances by stars, including Doja Cat, Anitta, Cardi B, Meghan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj and Olivia Rodrigo.
