While Steph Curry and his wife Ayesha Curry weren’t necessarily matching, the pair were certainly on the same vibe. On Sunday, the pair hosted a party for his Gentleman’s Cut Bourbon during the NBA All Star Weekend in San Francisco.
The basketball player chose a washed cargo trouser and bomber set from the brand Nahmias, while Ayesha chose a washed T-shirt and leather lace-up pants.
For shoes, Ayesha went bold. The stunner wore a pair of light wash blue denim Givenchy shark boots. The boots are thigh-high. They include an almond toe. They also spotert a stiletto heel of almost four inches on the back.
Most prominently, the boots include a silver padlock that matches the silver finishings of the rest of the boot. The Shark boot silhouette was first introduced in 2012 attracting vans like Lindsay Lohan. They were initially designed by Riccardo Tisci and notably featured a wide, conical like structure in addition to hardware at the top of the leg. In fall 2022, Matthew Williams updated the boot: he tweaked the hardware, adding his padlocks. Padlocks were a core part of the design language of Williams, incorporated throughout his products for Givenchy.
Givenchy is currently selling the Shark Lock over-the-knee stiletto boot for $2,895.
While Steph Curry wasn’t wearing hardware on his shoes, his styles weren’t a shrinking violet. They took up space in their own way: he wore a pair of Bottega Veneta black shoes. While it’s unclear which style they were, they follow the Veneta penchant for having a thick, rubber-injected sole and an imposing, shapely toe. This is seen most prominently in the popular Puddle boots but is also visible in the company’s Torino ankle boot.
