Avril Lavigne Turns Heads in Grungy Combat Boots and Sculptural Trench Coat at Christian Siriano’s NYFW Show

Avril Lavigne attended Christian Siriano‘s spring 2024 runway show held in New York yesterday. The show saw the attendance of top stars like Janet Jackson, Alicia Silverstone, Quinta Brunson, Laverne Cox and Kesha among others. Musical artist Sia performed during the show.
The “Complicated” songstress stepped into a pair of black combat boots in a utilitarian chunky style. Lavigne’s boots were crafted out of black patent leather, hence the glossy finish, and featured a sleek black lace-up silhouette with rounded toes and striking silver hardware. Additionally, the boots appeared to be calf-length and included thick and rugged platform soles with a reliable non-slip tread. The footwear offered Lavigne’s ensemble a welcomed grungy touch.
The popular shoe style is associated with grunge and goth sub-cultures and has been seen on top stars including Pedro Pascal, Blackpink, Nina Dobrev and Timothee Chalamet among others.

Making a statement, the “What The Hell” singer was outfitted in a floor-length black trench coat featuring contrasting white stitching, a plunging neckline, sculptural shoulders and a glossy vinyl finish. The outerwear was layered overtop a floral black lace corset. On the bottom, Lavigne donned matching black trousers in an oversized pleated style.
For footwear, Lavigne often sticks to edgy styles that match her wardrobe. The “Smile” singer can be seen in black and white sneakers by Vans, Asics and Converse while off-duty, plus ankle and combat boots by Jeffrey Campbell, Wild Diva and Ugg.
New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is held in New York City in September, marking the start of Fashion Month. The spring 2024 season will see a calendar of fashion shows and presentations from a range of designers, including Ralph Lauren, Christian Siriano, Proenza Schouler and more. The occasion will also include numerous parties and activations from brands like Aldo, J.Crew, MCM and more.
