Ashanti got fancy in a gold dress and matching strappy Dolce & Gabbana sandals while attending husband Nelly’s 50th second birthday party in Las Vegas on Monday night. The pair gave Entertainment Tonight‘s Deidre Behar Wellman an exclusive sit down interview and inside look at the party, and the couple talked all about the rapper reaching 50, their new baby boy and what life has been like since they reunited.
Getting dressed up for the special occasion, the standout shoes featured a singular gold strap across the upper that secured her foot in place. Also locking her feet in place was a matching gold ankle strap with a buckle. The stilettos were the designer’s Keira sandal in the color gold, and are wade with patent leather and feature the hard-to-miss DG heel, which measures roughly 4-to-5 inches in height. She paired the shoes with the matching DG Logo Bag box handbag.

As for her outfit, Ashanti chose a gold long sleeve dress that was defined by its standout thigh-high slit. It was an Ieena for Mac Duggal Metallic Jersey Long Sleeve Gown, which was crafted from shimmering charmeuse fabric, and fit in line with the all-gold theme of the night. The long sleeves provide coverage while the thigh high slit added a touch of sensuality. Finished with a bow detail on the side, the gown exudes elegance and sophistication.
The tie-belt in the torso really emphasized the sleek structure of the piece, which provided the elegant finishing touches. Matching her outfit with a pair of gold earrings, she opted for a glam makeup look that consisted of purple lipstick and gold eyeshadow, both of which complimented her pulled back hair style.
Husband Nelly matched his wife’s gold ensemble with a gold suit of his own. Underneath his suit was a white dress shirt that provided a cool color contrast. Wearing a pair of tan Cazal shades as part of his accessories, the musician wore a pair of white Calfskin Nappa Portofino crown patch sneakers, also from Dolce & Gabbana.
The celebration was a continuation of Nelly’s birthday weekend, as the couple has been partying it up since last week to commemorate the monumental birthday. Last week, the “Baby” singer, who is 44, was spotted in a pair of black suede boots while attending Nelly’s “Hallowestern” party in Atlanta.
The boots, which served as a compliment to her matching leather outfit, were constructed with a pointed-toe design and emphasized by a brown leather belt buckle around the midfoot region. Extending slightly over her knee, the silhouette was finished with a chunky block heel measuring between 2-to-3 inches in height.
The stylish couple tied the knot last year after reuniting in 2021. The pair, who dated on and off for years in the early 2000s, got back together after running into each other at Fat Joe and Ja Rule’s Verzuz battle. They welcomed a baby boy earlier this year. The child is the singer’s first, while the rapper has four other children.
