Ashanti dressed up for husband Nelly‘s annual Black and White Ball in St. Louis on Dec. 15 with an on-theme black sequined dress and matching heeled sandals from Tom Ford. This year, the event raised funds for Make a Wish Missouri and Harris-Stowe State University, an HBCU in St. Louis.
Ashanti made an impression in a fitted long sleeve gown with a high neckline. The sequined garment featured a subtle design of vertical stripes in addition to gold button detailing and a cutout in back. Her hair was slicked back into a long, swinging style and she brought a pop of color to the event with a red lip. She carried dazzling black purse as well.
The “Foolish” singer opted for a glamorous T-strap shoe from Tom Ford’s Titan line to elevate her outfit. The sandals featured a slender black reptile-embossed strap across the toes revealing a dark manicure; this was attached to a thin gold chain with a vertical orientation creating the T shape. The shoe also featured a gold-hued stiletto heel and quarter in addition to a black ankle strap. From Saks Fifth Avenue, the sandals are currently on sale for $2,130.
In addition to Ne-Yo and other stars, Ashanti and Nelly took to the stage together at the event. One clip of the singer from behind the scenes showed she had removed her heels before hitting the stage with her husband. Following the couple’s reunion, a forthcoming reality series focused on their lives is reportedly currently in production.
Ashanti has shown off a myriad of high fashion looks this year. She recently wore boots from Jennifer Le with a sheer black dress. At the Baby2Baby Gala held in November, she wore a bright red gown with matching bow-adorned heeled sandals. In another notable sartorial moment for the musician, she wore denim boots from Dolce & Gabbana while performing the National Anthem at the World Series in October.
