ASAP Rocky was spotted heading to the Superior Court of Los Angeles yesterday.
The “Sundress” rapper sported a pair of classic derby shoes. The silhouette is not unlike Rocky’s favorite Bottega Veneta Strut derby shoes, which he’s worn on numerous occasions. The chosen silhouette featured glossy black leather uppers accompanied by almond-shaped toes and coordinating black lace-up closures. Rubber soles created a utilitarian non-slip feel.
Short stacked block heels rounded out the set, offering the musician a subtle boost. For those looking to shop the performer’s shoe moment, brands like Dior, Loewe, Coach, Dr. Martens, Prada and The Row all feature comparable styles for a range of prices and sizing options. The dapper style is beloved by male and female celebrities alike for formal and casual endeavors. In general, derby styles are much preppier than loafers given the lacing and intricate stitching.
Partnered with his posh footwear choice, the “Praise the Lord” rapper wore an all-black suiting moment. Said look featured a tailored blazer and button-up combo paired with black slacks. Rocky rounded out his look with chunky black sunglasses and high-shine gold jewelry.
Rocky’s footwear choices are, among other things, versatile, fashion-forward and always feature a hint of edge. The rapper’s favorite footwear brands to pull from include Puma, Bottega Veneta, Nike and Off-White. On June 21, he unveiled his newest Puma collection during his AWGE show he’d put on as part of Paris Fashion Week.
The collection encapsulated Rocky’s love for timeless street style-inspired silhouettes. The showing included the limited re-issue of Puma’s OG Inhale shoe from 2000 in summer melon-high-risk red, which launched in May, and was styled for the AWGE runway. Rocky hand-picked the vintage silhouette from Puma’s archive. Rocky first partnered with Puma on Oct. 2023, joining the company as creative director for the brand’s F1 partnership.
