Ariana Greenblatt appeared on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” in pointed mule heels, which complemented a gray and white ensemble with avant-garde details—all courtesy of Thom Browne. The “Barbie” actress was first spotted in the outfit on May 28, when the episode was taped at 30 Rock in New York City; it is set to air on NBC tomorrow, July 18.
Greenblatt, who stars in the upcoming film “Borderlands,” went for an innovative take on preppy fashion for the day time talk show appearance. She wore a pair of shorts in Thom Browne’s signature gray that fell just above the knee, matching the hue of a structured corset-style top with thin straps. The shirt flared at the bottom into rounded cutouts that formed V-shapes along the hem. This was layered on top of a classic white long sleeve button-down with a collar.
Greenblatt brought new dimensions to the outfit with her footwear and footwear accessories. Completing her Thom Browne ensemble, she wore the American brand’s Pebble Grain Cut Out Penny Loafer Mule, which retails for $950. Featuring a sharply pointed toe and short heel, the 100% calf leather shoes included differently sized cutouts in the front, revealing the white fabric of her socks.
