Ariana Greenblatt sportetd sleek black leather stiletto pumps on the red carpet at the CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards in Las Vegas Thursday. The “Barbie” actress, 16, received the Rising Star of 2024 Award.
Earlier in the day, she appeared at a luncheon during the convention in another black high-heeled style, a pair of towering closed-toe platforms. Greenblatt, who regularly works with popular celebrity stylist Molly Dickson, also wore glossy red patent kitten heels at the Lionsgate CinemaCon presentation on April 10. Meanwhile, at Paris Fashion Week last month, the “Borderlands” actress sat front row at Louis Vuitton’s show in black square-toe slingback pumps featuring a curved block heel and the brand’s logo on the toe.
CinemaCon is an annual film industry convention in which Hollywood studios and other companies give presentations about upcoming features and other industry updates. It typically culminates with the Big Screen Achievement Awards at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Amy Poehler, Lupita Nyong’o, Geena Davis and Dennis Quaid were also honored during the event.
Greenblatt’s shoes featured a black leather upper with a classic pointed toe and slender stiletto heel that appeared to measure over 3 inches in height. The elegant, minimalist silhouette finished in black leather is a classic look that most high-end brands offer.
Pumps with tall, skinny stiletto heels gained popularity in the 1950s, becoming a staple in many women’s wardrobes. Although block-heeled styles rose to prominence during the late 1960s through the 1990s, stilettos experienced a significant resurgence in the early 2000s. This revival may partly be attributed to Christian Louboutin, who introduced the Kate pump, named after supermodel Kate Moss, now one of the brand’s best-selling items. Other notable brands contributing to the popularity of pointed stilettos include Jimmy Choo, Saint Laurent, Manolo Blahnik, and Gianvito Rossi.
