Ariana Grande appeared at the Golden Globes First-Time Nominee Luncheon in Beverly Hill, Calif. wearing the super popular Romy pumps from Jimmy Choo.
Posing alongside her mother, Joan Grande, the “Dangerous Woman” singer recently received her first-ever Golden Globes nomination for “Best Supporting Actress” after a statement-making performance in “Wicked,” and turned up at the celebration in the trendy Jimmy Choo ‘Romy’ pumps that were likely custom-made, which many celebrities have been spotted in this year.
Made with patent leather material, the Romy recently received an update that includes a softer pointed toe and a new slim heel. Made in Italy, the shoes are made with a closed-back design that keeps your foot locked in place as you walk, and has a leather lining to assist with comfort. Completing the silhouette is a razor sharp stiletto heel that measures between 4-to-5 inches in height, which Grande typically prefers within her shoe models.
For her outfit, the actress chose a satin A-line dress characterized by a thick belt in the torso region. Keeping the “Wicked” theme with bright silver eye shadow and a rosy red lip, she styled her hair in a ponytail. Appearing next to Grande was her mother, Joan, who chose a pair of black leather dress shoes to accompany her black floral coat dress.
Grande is a major fan of Jimmy Choo, and was spotted earlier this year in the brand’s Ixia 95 style while making an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” over the summer. Those shoes are characterized by sleek leather white uppers that transition into striking triangular toes and uniquely shaped 2—to 3-inch stiletto heels with rounded bottoms.
Pointed-toe shoes continue to be versatile go-to when it comes to classic footwear, with a storied history that dates decades. Celebrities have been choosing to wear pumps of all kinds on the red carpet and at high-profile events this fall and winter season. Many other brands such as Chanel and Stuart Weitzman offer different variations of the pump model in various shapes and sizes.
Meanwhile, mom Joan provided a nice contrast to her daughter’s cream ensemble in an all black look, becoming the Elphaba to the singer’s Glinda for the event. She wore a form fitting jacket/dress with tights and a pair of Christian Louboutin’s Pumppie round toe Mary Jane heels. The shoes featured a leather upper, a slim Mary Jane button strap, and a heel measuring about 3.25 inches.
The event, which was held at The Maybourne in Beverly Hills, was the Globes’ first-ever luncheon honoring nominee-newcomers. The 2025 Golden Globes are taking on Sunday, Jan. 5 at 8 p.m. EST.
